Occasionally the wafers in ignitions become damaged or worn down causing the cylinder to become sticky and sometimes they stop turning all together. We have tricks to get them out with no damage and can either rebuild them or replace them and rekey them to the original key that came with the vehicle.
In some makes and models of vehicles, a worn down key is often the problem and the ignition is actually fine. With years of experience we can pinpoint the problem and possibly save you money. I would never recommend trying to replace your ignition yourself. The black plastic box you see in the picture is called an immobilizer antenna and if damaged could cost you big time. Other safety features are also installed into ignitions to prevent theft and can be easily damaged it you are not experienced with ignitions.
